Media-Sheep-Wolf-cartoon.jpgThe name of the National Reform Steering Assembly's (NRSA) media bill runs against its real purposes. The bill offers systemised control of all types of the media -- print, broadcast and social media. The government's public relations apparatus is geared towards one-sided information distribution and containment, through banning if necessary, of those proclaimed otherwise. Recently, it crossed the line by inventing controversial regulations in its media bill, aiming to give governments power to regulate all media outlets and platforms. The media bill is more like putting a collar on the "watch dog".
